Champion of Change (Peer Support Groups)

The youths who will complete their training will be rewarded with certificates to reinforce good behavior and make them as leaders of change.

The specific objectives of the group are to help youths to:

• Form Champion of Change peer support groups in schools, colleges, and communities;
• Identify young people for leaders for change and provide long-term mentorship programmes;
• Continue to provide youths with relevant knowledge and information for altitudinal and behavioural change;
• Give testimonies about their transformation and experiences and how the youth initiative has positively changed their lives;
• Continue to share successful ideas, skills, success stories and what other successful youths do to change their lives;
• Overcome peer pressure by keeping the targeted youths busy with learning new skills so that they do not engage in bad activities due to idleness;
• Give the individuals an opportunity to assess and evaluate their behaviour;
• Unlearn bad behaviours and learn new behavioural patterns;
• Help the trainees to develop the “I CAN” attitude and the ability to withstand obstacles to success.
